Brampton Northwest Connects

We are currently in the process of rolling out a brand new and exciting website!  Please come back again to see our new look and to see the exciting things being offered for your children in Brampton Northwest over the summer.

May 4, 2010 - 7:00 to 8:30PM
"Oh My Gosh!  My Child's a Teenager!" Presentation

The latest 'YOU NEED TO KNOW' EVENT is being held on May 4, 2010 at  Fletcher's Meadow Secondary School, 10750 Chinguacousy Road (just north of Sandalwood and Chinguacousy)  7:00 to 8:30PM

This presentation looks at understanding the changes and development which occur during the teenage years. Participants will remember their own teen years, understand the stages that all teens experience, and become more aware of the normal behaviours of a teenager. Bill will also discuss some of the signs of potential trouble, youth at risk and how parents can encourage health and well-being in their families.

This event is open to all parents and guardians in the Brampton Northwest community with children attending any public or Catholic elementary, middle or secondary school.

Reservations for this free event can be made by email to info@bnconnects.org or by calling the Peel Region's event registration line at 905-799-7700.

The group consists of staff from local elementary, middle and secondary schools, parents in the community, local student representatives, and community service organizations. The list of community service organizations involved with this project include: Brampton  Parks and Recreation, Brampton Public Library, Boys and Girls Club of Peel,  Peel Regional Police, Brampton Safe City and Peel Health.

Our Mission

We believe that the community is responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being and optimal development of our children and youth. Our mission is to engage the entire community in planning and implementing after-school programming for students that will promote physical activity, self-esteem, leadership and general well-being.
